 Hayward Chamber of Commerce Bridal Expo

With an increase in the number of weddings that are being planned and held in the Hayward Area, including bachelor parties and bridal showers, 2008 Bridal Expo is intended to feature businesses and services that cater to special parties and weddings. This event will showcase local businesses that have an affiliation to the Bridal Industry.

March 1-2, 2008
The Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce 300 event is the last leg of Sled Head 24/7’s AMSOIL Triple Crown racing series. The series is giving away an unprecedented $100,000 guaranteed purse payout to the racers. Professional and amateur snowmobile racers will be coming from many states in the upper Midwest. The range of experience is from nationally sponsored, professional riders with decades of experience to a youth division just starting to get their feet wet.

The largest American cross country ski race welcomes the world to the Hayward / Cable Area for a wonderful three days of competition. Thursday begins with the colorful Opening Ceremonies and Solomon Elite Sprint races on Main Street in downtown Hayward. Friday brings many different cross country skill races including the CenturyTel Junior Birkie and the CheqTel 5K/10K races. Saturday the featured 51 kilometer ski race, the Kortelopet 23 kilometer ski race and Closing Medal Ceremonies.
Musky Festival

Hayward's largest summer celebration of the Northwoods and great fishing history, the Festival takes place the weekend following Father's Day weekend each year in downtown Hayward. The weekend includes the crowning of our Musky Festival Queen, sidewalk sales, large handmade art & craft show, live music, children's games, great food booths, Musky Run, fishing contest and a carnival. Everyone will enjoy Midwest known music groups during Friday and Saturday night street dances while enjoying the Lions and Rotary beer tents. The whole weekend concludes with a large Parade on Sunday.
 Honor The Earth Pow-Wow

The largest Pow-wow in North America, the Honor the Earth Pow-wow celebrates the annual gathering of the tribes to honor mother earth and the Creator in celebratory drumming, dancing and song the 3rd weekend of July in Hayward. Traditional Native American music, dancing, crafts and food create an authentic tribal experience. The Lac Courtes Orielles Royalty Coronation, special recognition ceremonies, social singing and dancing, a traditional arts cooking contest, a run/walk, softball tournament and golf tournament are among the featured events.

 Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival

Each year in mid-September, thousands of fat tired fliers descend on the towns of Cable and Hayward in northwestern Wisconsin to take on the off road bicycle tests of endurance and agility offered during the Chequamegon Festival weekend. Since its inception in 1983, the Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival has built a popularity and reputation that is unmatched in the sport today. From the 27 hardy cyclists who lined up to challenge the unknown trails of the Chequamegon in the first year, to the sold out limited field of 2,500 who are chosen by a random lottery, the Festival has earned the title of the "Nation's Most Popular Off Road Bicycle Adventure."

Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce has the perfect event to start your golf season in style! The HACC Fish-N-Chips Golf Scramble takes place in May, here in Hayward. The event will be a full day of fun and networking as we take a moment to tell each other our plans for the busy summer season!
This unique golf event features two exciting divisions of play for all to enjoy: a handicapped division for those that wish to compete for cash prizes; while fun orientation non-handicapped division compete for a wonderful prize as well.
