The Hayward Foundation for Educational Enrichment Lee Bonicatto Memorial Golf Outing will be held at Hayward Golf Club. The Lee Bonicatto Memorial Golf Outing is one of the most popular golf outings in the area, with a waiting list each year! This event is a fun-filled 18-hole scramble for men and women of any golf handicap.
Lee Bonicatto was one of the initial board members of HFEE and was an outstanding teacher in the school district until his retirement. The community lost Lee due to myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare blood disorder in 2007, and the HFEE board wanted to recognize his accomplishments by naming the golf outing in his honor. HFEE needs sponsors and golfers to make the day a financial success. The proceeds from the tournament provide funds for the grants we award to the Hayward Community School staff and teachers to enrich education for students of all ages.

Life Lines cements Joyann Parker as one of Americana’s most captivating storytellers, offering a record that feels like a long drive with the windows down—honest, open, and unforgettable.

Join a new kind of book club at the Sherman & Ruth Weiss Community Library. Our plan is to explore the power of the short form, focusing exclusively on novellas and curated sets of short stories under 200 pages. From the precision of the classics to the worldbuilding of contemporary sci-fi, we look at how writers can do more with less. We skip the "likes and dislikes" to focus on the finer nuances of our selections.
INAUGURAL MEETING Thursday, May 28, 2026 @6 :00PM
Selection: The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway, a masterclass in subtext and the "Iceberg Theory." We will discuss how Hemingway builds a universe within a single skiff.
