The Musky 5k Run/Walk is a fun and non-competitive event with a portion of the proceeds going to a different local charity each year. The course follows a route through the downtown and the City of Hayward starting and finishing on Main Street in front of People's Bank. This year's recipient of the proceeds will be Habitat for Humanity.
There is also a free Minnow Run for the youngest members of the family which loops a downtown area block. All participants receive a medal.
