The Musky Festival Queen's Scholarship Pageant is a great opportunity for young women to learn skills in leadership and public speaking, to develop a sense of community and earn scholarship money. It is also an experience that looks great on a college application or resume. Participants will become an ambassador to the community, a role model to area youth and peers, attend local parades, showcase their talents, volunteer in the community, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

"Being Musky Queen has taught me some of the most valuable life lessons that I could have learned.  It has taught me to be my own person and not to give in to the pressures around me.  It has also given me the opportunity to be involved in so many community events that I haven't ever been a part of.  Being Musky Queen is more than just having a title. It's having the responsibility of being a role model, which I haven't taken lightly/  Also, being Musky Queen has given me the confidence to step outside my comfort zone and meet so many new people from our community, as well as surrounding areas.  The other young women who I ran in the pageant with have become such great friends and they have really made the experience of being Musky Queen an enjoyable one.  The main thing I've learned while being Musky Queen is that community is everything, and supporting your town is an amazing and rewarding opportunity."  Samie Thaler
